About The Event
This hands-on water quality program brings students to a stream where they actively test the water quality. Children will collect water samples and test for dissolved oxygen, pH, temperature and conductivity.
(Be sure to wear shoes you don't mind getting wet!)
Students will:
· Use scientific methods to determine the health of the stream
· Discuss common environmental stressors that impact stream health
· Problem solve solutions for healthy aquatic ecosystems
