About The Event
Students will learn about "Reduce, Reuse, Recycle" through an interactive tour of the Coal Mountain Recycling Center and a fun recycling activity.
Educational Objectives
• Investigate the methods used in modern day recycling facilities
• Learn how recycling can prevent the waste of potentially useful materials and reduce consumption of fresh raw materials
• Explain how recycling reduces the amount of waste sent to landfills and incinerators
• Take a behind the scenes look at the Coal Mountain Recycling Center
