Home School Thursdays: Make it Rain – (Ages 5-10)

Rain and thunderstorms are one of nature’s most spectacular phenomena and are especially common in the south. This fun activity will explore the water cycle and introduce students to the concepts of weathering and erosion on our watershed.

Students will:

• Create rain sticks and simulate the sounds of a thunderstorm through physical activity.
• Investigate where rain comes from and the impact of both floods and drought on an ecosystem.
