About The Event
When looking at Earth from outer space, our planet appears mostly blue. That’s because the majority of its surface is covered in water, leading many to call Earth “the blue planet.” Together we will investigate the land to water ratio on our planet.
Students will:
- Learn that water connects all earth systems
- Discuss examples of land and water in their communities
- Utilize an inflatable beach ball globe in an exercise to compare the amount of land and water on Earth
*We're in the building next to the Health Department. Drive between the 2 buildings to the back. You'll see our door to the left, under a green metal awning.
