About The Event
Students will learn about water conservation and the effects of water pollution through a fun water hauling exercise and a relay activity. For ages 6 and up. (Participants should bring a towel and wear shoes they don't mind getting wet)
Educational Objectives:
· Develop an awareness of various volumes of water
· Appreciate the readily available water supplies in the developed world
· Understand how easy access to water can encourage people to use large amounts of water
· Learn the impact of pet waste on water sources
· Discover that storm drains do not go to a sewer
· Discuss how fecal bacteria upsets an aquatic ecosystem
*All sessions will follow Forsyth County Parks and Recreation COVID-19 policies.
