HEFTY RENEW PROGRAM

The new Hefty ReNew Program (formerly Hefty Energy Bag Program) for hard-to-recycle plastics is now officially launched! The program collects plastics that cannot traditionally be recycled and turns them into valued resources.

Accepted materials include: plastic packaging, plastic bags and wraps, styrofoam products, and plastic dinnerware. 

​

Residents may purchase Hefty ReNew Bags at local Kroger and Target stores (or on Kroger and Target websites). When a bag is full, it may be dropped off (no cost) in the Hefty ReNew bin at

any of the 3 Forsyth County Recycling Centers:

Tolbert Street Center- 351 Tolbert St Cumming, GA 30040

Coal Mountain Center- 3560 Settingdown Rd Cumming, GA 30028

*PLEASE NOTE: You must purchase orange Hefty ReNew bags in order to use the Hefty Bin. Loose Styrofoam, loose plastic items, or Styrofoam or plastic in any other type of bag are not permitted.
